I am a licensed Clinical Psychologist with over 20 years of experience helping people create positive change in their lives. My goal is to help you identify and resolve issues that may be preventing you from getting more of what you want in life. My style is warm and empathic, yet I can be challenging when it is needed in order to achieve growth. I have an eclectic approach to treatment, but tend to draw from relational and cognitive behavioral approaches in order to design a specialized treatment plan based on your unique needs.
My expertise includes mood disorders, depression, addictions, relationships issues, eating disorders, anxiety and panic symptoms. I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in the states of Texas, Florida and Illinois. I have completed Level 1 Gottman Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy and hold specialized certifications in Perinatal Mental Health (PMH-C) and as a Substance Abuse Professional (SAP). I received my M.S. and Psy.D. in clinical psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in Chicago, Illinois. I also possess an E.Passport from the Association of State and Provincial Psychology Boards (ASPPB) and have obtained an Authority to Practice Interjurisdictional Telepsychology (APIT) from the PSYPACT Commission that allows me practice teletherapy in over 30 states. See section on Virtual Teletherapy for more details.
